The Palais des Festivals cultural program places culture at the heart of the city. Cannes offers a wide choice of international events, festivals and shows featuring top artistic disciplines. Dance, theatre, music, circus, comedy, cinema, festivals, and even board games and fireworks - the packed and ambitious Palais des Festivals program combines both culture and light entertainment. More than 80 shows are scheduled annually in the main venue and in other venues such as the Théâtre Croisette, La Licorne, and in the summer there are performances outside on the Terrasse Riviera, the beaches, at Villa Domergue and in the Suquet district.
The diversity of the shows offers a panorama of artistic events which demonstrate the real wealth of global culture and give an overview of contemporary arts in France and worldwide.
Covering two seasons, WINTER from October to April with this year’s highlight of the dance biennial, and SUMMER from June to September, the program allows different audiences to indulge their tastes and desire to be surprised by new artistic approaches under the banner of diversity, amazement and discovery.

Orchestre national de Cannes
The Orchestre national de Cannes Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur Orchestra has been travelling around France for more than 40 years with the same enthusiasm – and thanks to its loyal partners, the City of Cannes, France’s Ministry of Culture, the Alpes-Maritimes Department, the south Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, member companies of the Andantino club and the Friends of the Orchestra.
It is constantly seeking to offer innovative and bold programs led by renowned high-quality artists. During the season, it offers around one hundred symphonic, chamber music and family orientated concerts. Founded in 1975, in 2005 the orchestra received an honorary “Victoire de la Musique” for its work as a whole. It is now led by Benjamin Levy.
