Beethoven’s music has been a symbol of fraternity between peoples since the 19th century, and his Eighth Symphony will symbolically form the Franco-Korean link between Cannes and Busan. This programme, led by the artistic director of the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, Soo-Yeoul Choi, will also showcase the great South Korean composer Unsuk Chin. Last but not least, the evening’s guest of honour will undoubtedly be Bomsori Kim, an emerging figure among the new generation of violinists. She will be performing Mendelssohn’s celebrated Second Concerto.
